A massive Japanese 19thC bronze jardiniere or plant holder with raised or bas-relief detail. This handsome antique signed Japanese bronze work stands 13-1/2" tall and it measures 11-1/2" across the opening. This is a large example of a classic bowl design, and it has a nice patination (appears somewhat lightened in our photographs to show detail). It features perching and flying birds and floral branches, a decorated collar with bat designs (a sign of luck and prosperity) and incised decoration. It has an applied signature planchet on the bottom, which has not yet been translated. It has some patina inside from use. It is in otherwise excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs except for a minor bend on the foot-rim. This vintage unmarked hand painted figural whimsy is 5-3/4" long and 2-3/8" high (maximum) and it is in the form of two pink pigs with a champagne bottle - one leaning on the outside and the other sitting on a plinth and peering out from the bottle in the center. A pair of Victorian 12k yellow gold pierced swinging earrings circa 1880 1890. These stunning antique 1-1/2" x 7/8" (including ear wire) earrings feature a finely detailed ring which swings back and forth across the faceted interior gold ball. They are not stamped, but test as at least 12k gold. 12k was used as part of the United Kingdom gold standard from the 19th century until 1932. A sterling silver nutmeg grater circa 1890s. It may actually be older. This American antique 1-3/4" x 1-3/8" egg shaped sterling grater has the original interior gilt rasp and interior gilding. Nutmeg was an expensive imported spice when first introduced to Europe and to North America, and it became enormously popular as a condiment. A sterling silver nutmeg grater was a sign of prosperity, as well as indicating a great fondness for the spice, of which aficionados would grate to their own taste when sitting down to eat. Not easy to find them anymore. This antique example features fine ornate leaf hand engraving and a dedication saying Z.S.J. to M.M.J. 25th. Dec 1893. A fine Christmas gift indeed. It is stamped STERLING along the gilt inner rim, the gilding on the interior and rasp is a rich gold in colour and intact. A true rarity of vintage American pressed or pattern glass. This is the 5-1/4" long and 4-5/8" wide wall pocket in the Elephant or Jumbo pattern in amber glass, issued by the King Glass Co. in 1890. Variously described as a match holder, match striker, wall pocket or vase, this item has vivid and crisp detail. It is 2-3/4" deep and is guaranteed to be antique glass. This item is in fair original condition with no chips, losses, damage or repairs other than a large internal crack below the eye and above the tusks. This crack is visible from the front and around the back and it appears to be a dividing line between the light upper glass and the deeper amber hue of the glass in the trunk. It can't be felt from the front but can be felt with a fingernail on the interior - the integrity of the piece is intact. Please note the straw mark just below the eye in the last picture (it's not a crack); this item's book value is $750 + in intact condition. A Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee china teapot with enamel decoration circa 1897. This scarce royalty commemorative antique teapot celebrates the Diamond Jubilee of the reign of Queen Victoria. This black glaze Jackfield style English teapot measures 9-1/4" across the handle and spout and it stands 7" tall; it has a gold coloured stencil of Victoria on one side and the commemorative legend on the other. There are also thistles, roses and shamrocks and there are hand applied enamels in orange, white and blue. It is stamped in gold MADE IN ENGLAND 936 F on the bottom and this item is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, staining, losses, repairs or damage other than some allover crazing to the black glaze showing white in a few places and grey in most (see pictures); the lid is uncrazed. A Victorian Aesthetic silver plated hot water pot by Reed & Barton 1876. This 9-1/4" tall pot is stamped with the Reed & Barton mark, the 2764 pattern number and the patent date of Feb. 1, 1876. It has fine floral high relief feet and floral bands plus hand tooling and a pebbled finish on the top panel. A pair of Qing dynasty Chinese cloisonne enamel lobed plant pots or jardinieres. These late 18th/early 19th century shrub pots are similar but not identical. The 7-1/2" x 5-3/4" bowls feature blue grounds and well-executed multi-colour cloisonne designs. They are both footed and each has water drain holes in the bottoms. Each bowl has some damage, with incomplete or chipped enamel under the rims, enamel misses and chips and a large loss to the upper rim enamel on one pot.
