A Paul Duval Group of Seven Drawings art book. This 11-7/8" x 10-1/4" art reference book by Paul Duval entitled GROUP OF SEVEN DRAWINGS was published by Burns and MacEachern, Toronto in 1965. This first edition has black and white illustrations with capsule biographies towards the back. It has the original dust cover, and this book is in excellent conditon with the dust cover taped under plastic. A 10k white gold Eastern Star black onyx white sapphires and genuine gemstones ring circa 1960s. This vintage size 9 consists of an all-white gold setting holding a eound carved and shaped black onyx with a stepped style. The white gold Eastern Star insignia is set on the top platform of the onyx and it has genuine gemstones in green, red, yellow, blue and clear. It also has two six-stone white sapphire arches in the onyx cutouts on the sides of the stone (all stones have been tested and none are glass or rhinestone) and they include citrene, sapphire and white sapphire as well as tourmaline. This ring is marked OS and 10 K - OS usually refers to it being an authorized Eastern Star design. The background enamel of the altar is white, and there is a tiny chip. It weighs 3.9 grams and it measures 5/8" across the round setting. A pair of Helen Kalvak Inuit screened burlap hunting scene pictures. Kalvak (1901-1984) was from Ulukhaktok, Northwest Territories, Canada and she was inducted into the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts. This was followed in 1978 by her appointment to the Order of Canada. These screened burlap pictures are framed and they measure 18-1/4 x 15-1/4" and they have a sight size of 13-1/2 x 10-1/4". The wood frames have an antiqued finish and one shows a bow and arrow hunter killing a goose (in natural burlap brown) and the other depicts fishing (in green burlap). They are in excellent condition with no fading, rips, tears, staining, damage or repairs however the backing cardboard on the fishing screen print shows some water discolouration.
