A 14k white gold man's diamond with black onyx bullseye ring by Birks from the late 1930s 1950. This vintage size 7 men's ring by Birks Canada has a central 21 point genuine diamond which has a round black onyx stone bezel set around the centre stone. It is stamped BIRKS and 14 K and another mark. The whole ring is white gold, and was custom made at Birks. The ring comes with an independent gemologist's appraisal for $2000CAN. The diamond measures 21 points (measured in setting) and is SI-1 clarity and I-J colour. There are two quite minutes chips at the bezel, visible only with a loupe, and this was mentioned in the appraisal of $2000 CAD. The ring measures 5/16" across the top and it weighs a substantial 6.7 grams; it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. A World War II nurse's cloak or cape with black and red from the 1940s. This authentic military collectible has a 16" collar (hook to hook), it is 40-3/4" long and it has one closure with two button holes. It was made by Lac-Mac in London (Ontario) Canada and it has the original black painted hanging chain as well as SCGH embroidered on the back of the collar (possibly for St. Catharines General Hospital as it was obtained locally). A detailed intaglio Laws Scottish family crest sterling silver seal ring from 1900-1930. This vintage size 7 ring features the family crest from the Laws family with a cockerel atop the shield and the quote from Horace (30 BCE) "COMPOSITUM JUS TASQUE ANIMI" which has various translations referring to justice, uprightness and nobility of the soul (one version states "A mind which respects alike the laws of mutual justice and of god"). It is a true seal ring, with the crest in reverse so it will appear correct on the actual seal. It is shown reversed in one of our images so you can read it. This example features ornate gold stencilling on the black patinated wood, orange bellows and a pierced chrome plated grille. A Chisolm Model C1 flip down toaster from the 1930s. This scarce and unusual chrome plated and wood two sided flip down electric toaster is by W.C. Chisholm Mfg. Co. of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This toaster has wooden handles and painted wooden sides on the base; it also has heavy springs keeping the doors shut. The heat wire wrapped mica plates are intact as is the cloth-wrapped original cord. It has a detachable top with a wood handle (possibly for keeping toast warm).
