A scarce antique period sterling silver filigree posey holder or tussie mussie c1900. Late Victorian or early Edwardian period posey holders, popularly known as tussie mussies in the UK, were used to hold floral bridal bouquets. This ornate but delicate looking 3" long example has a loop for the (now missing) chain which would have terminated in a heavy straight pin which went through the bottom section of the posey to keep it in place. Sometimes the chains were double ended, and the second end had a finger loop This rare solid silver posy holder weighs 25.8 grams. It is unmarked, but had been tested. William Comyns English Arts & Crafts sterling nurse's belt buckle, fully hallmarked for London, England 1901-2. This stunning 2 piece buckle weighs 79.6 grams, it measures 4-3/4" x 2-3/4" in total, it has the stylized A&C flower bud in the central sections, and the curvilinear border with beaded pierced gallery gives this piece excellent motion. While William Comyns was a productive producer of silver small wares, his Arts & Crafts period work is not common, and as in this case, it was well made and of excellent quality. An antique sterling silver treasure chest design trinket box, fully hallmarked for London, England 1904. This English Arts and Crafts period 3-3/4" x 1-1/2" hinged box was made by Corke Bros. & Co. It has hand hammered panels with fleur-de-lis decoration and long hinges, and it resembles a treasure or pirate chest. It has a chained pin which inserts into a loop with hasp and a tooled and mounted escutcheon on the top. The interior is gilded, and this lovely small jewel or table tobacco snuff box weighs 80.4 grams. This miniature sterling chest has no tobacco odour, but is the correct size for a table snuff box, and such boxes were usually gilded inside to prevent corrosion. An English late Victorian mother of pearl handle fish set for six in fitted case 1890 1900. This set includes six 6-1/2" fish forks and six 7-3/8" scimitar-shaped fish knives. Each piece has a sterling silver patterned ferrule with silver plated blades and colourful genuine mother-of-pearl handles. The purple satin and velvet interior of the box has fitted compartments with locking brass fittings. This 8-1/4" diameter unsigned bell was from a Great Lakes ship or boat (possibly a ferry) and it retains its original eye and rod clapper with a loop for a rope pull.
