A Loetz Crete Papillon 7" Czech art glass green vase 1890 1900. This period vase has the famous Papillon finish in green (Crete) and this line was introduced in 1898. It has a tapered 3-1/8" across girdle and 2-5/8" base. It is in very good condition with no cracks, wear or repairs however there is a 1/4" rim chip mostly affecting the inside of the rim with minimal impact to the outside - this vase can be ground down to eliminate the chip if you are so inclined. A Victoria Austria R.S. Prussia ornate lustre teapot. This antique Edwardian bone china porcelain teapot with a floral and lustre finish c1910 stands 6-3/4" high to the top of the fancy finial and it measures 7-5/8" from the spout to the edge of the handle. It was made (and stamped by) Victoria Austria who bought blanks for factory decoration - in this case a genuine R.S. Prussia blank. This lovely tableware serving item has a pale greenish/yellow ground with pink and green floral arrays plus greenish/blue highlights and gold embellishment. An English shell and gadroon silver plated tip kettle with stand and burner circa 1930s. This beautiful table serving accessory stands 12" tall and 9-1/4" from spout to edge. It has the original mechanical opening and lifting burner and it retains the original base mounting keys and chains. It has dark stained wood handles and the maker's mark for Harrison Brothers & Howson of Sheffield, England (1862~1950) and it has a 6263-1/2 mark (probably indicating a 3-1/2 pint capacity). An amber daisy and button pickle cruet with stand and tongs from the 1880 1900 era. The pressed glass liner is 5" tall and the 11-1/4" tall stand has decorated feet and a floral arched handle and the matching tongs have claw feet. The lid of the cruet has a perching bird, and the stand is marked SILVERPLATED MADE IN CANADA on the underside rim. A huge Gouda Roma art pottery vase from the Royal Zuid works circa 1950s. This Dutch pottery vase is in white, black and gold. A Victorian sterling silver ornate link silver coins watch chain necklace from 1895. This exceptional, highly styled chain shows Victorian design at its best. It is 16-3/4" long and it consists of a swivel, coiled infinity knot style links, oblong rod links with interior silver coils along with a swivel, t-bar, silver coins and a gold-fronted sterling scroll style 1-1/8 x 3/4" watch fob. The coins include a Canada 1881 five cent silver piece, a British 1854 three pence coin ("thruppence"), a U.S. 1890 dime (10 cent silver) and a British 1887 silver florin. Each component has a British silver stamp (lion) and the fob has a full set of hallmarks and a registry number (for 1895) as well as the maker's mark for Charles Edward Soloman. acob Grimminger sterling silver julep cups or flat goblets circa 1910 1920. These hand hammered tumblers are 3-1/4" in height, made and marked by Jacob Grimminger of Gmund, Germany (established 1895). Being sterling rather than 800 silver, these cups were most likely made for export and they have an Arts and Crafts hammered finish consistent with cups of this period. A Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee china teapot with enamel decoration circa 1897. This scarce royalty commemorative antique teapot celebrates the Diamond Jubilee of the reign of Queen Victoria. This black glaze Jackfield style English teapot measures 9-1/4" across the handle and spout and it stands 7" tall; it has a gold coloured stencil of Victoria on one side and the commemorative legend on the other. A set of 6 David Andersen Norway enamel demitasse coffee spoons with a box from the 1960s. This set consists of the six 3-3/4" spoons which all have enamelled handles and bowls on gilt sterling. The backs are plain gilded silver and they have the Andersen marks and each spoon weighs 9.0 grams. The enamel colours include sea blue, navy blue, yellow, green and deep red and they come with a fitted, silk-lined box with brass fittings and impressed alligator brown paper wrap. A signed Kanyengeh 6 Nations large pottery vase signed Dee 1977. This Native Canadian pottery vase has the famous sculpted exterior and brown glaze with the turquoise blue interior. It features incised animals including a fox, bear, heron, moose, beaver, bird and turtle and it measures an impressive 7" tall. It is incised KANYENGEH POTERY DEE (Martin) 1977 with a vase symbol - other examples by Dee have the feather mark. A pair of Qing dynasty Chinese cloisonne enamel lobed plant pots or jardinieres. These late 18th/early 19th century shrub pots are similar but not identical. The 7-1/2" x 5-3/4" bowls feature blue grounds and well-executed multi-colour cloisonne designs. They are both footed and each has water drain holes in the bottoms. Each bowl has some damage, with incomplete or chipped enamel under the rims, enamel misses and chips and a large loss to the upper rim enamel on one pot. A Victorian Aesthetic butterflies gilt basket with a cranberry glass bowl liner dated 1869. This antique serving piece is truly superb, from the immaculately detailed gilded butterfly basket with a swing handle to the original cranberry glass bowl with a polished base. The three feet have fine hand engraving and most unusually each of the seven butterflies has the old English diamond registry mark incorporated into the design, not added or stamped on later. Although unsigned this is a work of superb craftsmanship and the registry number dates the design to 1869. It measures 4-1/2" across and it stands 5-3/4" tall with the handle upright. A set for 12 mother of pearl handle silver plated fish knives and forks from the 1897-1900 era. This 24 piece set consists of the 7-7/8" fish knives and the 6-3/4" forks. A pair of Gorham 1190 sterling silver convertible 11-1/4" candlesticks with 3 pieces. These weighted candlesticks include the weighted 4-3/4" bases which act as short candlesticks, the 2-7/8" candle holder bell which can mount to the bases or on top of the 4-1/8" conical taper which can also screw into the base. A scarce antique period sterling silver filigree posey holder or tussie mussie c1900. Late Victorian or early Edwardian period posey holders, popularly known as tussie mussies in the UK, were used to hold floral bridal bouquets. This ornate but delicate looking 3" long example has a loop for the (now missing) chain which would have terminated in a heavy straight pin which went through the bottom section of the posey to keep it in place. Sometimes the chains were double ended, and the second end had a finger loop This rare solid silver posy holder weighs 25.8 grams. It is unmarked, but had been tested. An antique sterling silver treasure chest design trinket box, fully hallmarked for London, England 1904. This English Arts and Crafts period 3-3/4" x 1-1/2" hinged box was made by Corke Bros. & Co. It has hand hammered panels with fleur-de-lis decoration and long hinges, and it resembles a treasure or pirate chest. It has a chained pin which inserts into a loop with hasp and a tooled and mounted escutcheon on the top. The interior is gilded, and this lovely small jewel or table tobacco snuff box weighs 80.4 grams. This miniature sterling chest has no tobacco odour, but is the correct size for a table snuff box, and such boxes were usually gilded inside to prevent corrosion. William Comyns English Arts & Crafts sterling nurse's belt buckle, fully hallmarked for London, England 1901-2. A sterling silver nutmeg grater circa 1890s. It may actually be older. This American antique 1-3/4" x 1-3/8" egg shaped sterling grater has the original interior gilt rasp and interior gilding. Nutmeg was an expensive imported spice when first introduced to Europe and to North America, and it became enormously popular as a condiment. A sterling silver nutmeg grater was a sign of prosperity, as well as indicating a great fondness for the spice, of which aficionados would grate to their own taste when sitting down to eat. Not easy to find them anymore. This antique example features fine ornate leaf hand engraving and a dedication saying Z.S.J. to M.M.J. 25th. Dec 1893. A fine Christmas gift indeed. A Royal Dux Woman on Waterfall 440 porcelain figure from the 1912 era with superb detail. This beautifully modeled 15-3/4" Bohemian porcelain figurine depicts a nude woman perched on rocks over a waterfall. This figure has a matte grey glaze with gold highlights. It is replete with much bocage including branches; her face is attractive and finely painted. It has the orange Royal Dux applied triangle mark with an impressed 440 pattern number along with a painted 35 and it dates to the 1910 era. A massive Japanese 19thC bronze jardiniere or plant holder with raised or bas-relief detail. This handsome antique signed Japanese bronze work stands 13-1/2" tall and it measures 11-1/2" across the opening. This is a large example of a classic bowl design, and it has a nice patination (appears somewhat lightened in our photographs to show detail). It features perching and flying birds and floral branches, a decorated collar with bat designs (a sign of luck and prosperity) and incised decoration. A simple and elegant Art Deco design four piece sterling silver International tea set c1930s. It consists of the following: the 8" across the handle and spout and 6" high wicker handled teapot, stamped STERLING 2 PTs and 913 with the International plumed knight's helmet mark; the open sugar bowl, 4-1/2" across the handles and 2-1/8" high, stamped INTERNATIONAL STERLING c134, also with the knight's helmet mark; the cream jug, 3-1/2" across the handle and spout and 3" high, stamped INTERNATIONAL STERLING C 134 also with the knight's helmet mark. An antique 19th century hand painted porcelain cat figurine. This figure is probably Austrian or German and it is of heavy porcelain. It is very well painted and it measures 4-1/4" tall. A pair of stunning hand painted and gilt metal mounted 19th century Sevres style plant pots or jardinieres. This pair consists of two French porcelain 9-1/2" diameter and 7-3/4" tall planters with white glazed interiors and painted scenes on the exterior. The scenes include floral panels and 18th century couples on a deep turquoise blue ground with hand gilding. Each pot is mounted on a footed gilt brass stand, which has two side straps with lion heads with mouth tassels. Each strap is mounted to a top beaded collar anchoring the pot to the fittings. They have a blue painted Sevres style mark and the uprights are stamped AH on the interior. Condition is reasonable considering their age, with the following issues: there is minor gilding loss, one metal arm/upright has been broken in three pieces and it has been crudely soldered and re-broken, some of the screws are replacements and one segment of one support column has been refastened on a different part of the upper collar on one pot. One pot and fittings is intact, the other needs some professional brazing and refitting of the fractured column. The pots themselves are in excellent condition with no crazing, chips, cracks or repairs other than some minor wear to the gilding and some dulling of the interior bottom glaze from use in the past. We've seen the supports offered online on occasion (rescued from broken examples) so it may be possible to replace the damaged one. These ornate 10-1/4" serving implements feature wooden spoon and fork inserts with sterling silver handles marked with the Roden mark along with REG'D 1901 STERLING. A World War II nurse's cloak or cape with black and red from the 1940s. This authentic military collectible has a 16" collar (hook to hook), it is 40-3/4" long and it has one closure with two button holes. It was made by Lac-Mac in London (Ontario) Canada and it has the original black painted hanging chain as well as SCGH embroidered on the back of the collar (possibly for St. Catharines General Hospital as it was obtained locally). It has a stitched M.L.M. monogram on the inside of the lapel over the pocket and this wool uniform is in very good condition with no rips, tears, losses, damage or repairs other than some paint loss to the hanging chain and some wear/rubs and a small repair to the inside of the collar. A true rarity of vintage American pressed or pattern glass. This is the 5-1/4" long and 4-5/8" wide wall pocket in the Elephant or Jumbo pattern in amber glass, issued by the King Glass Co. in 1890. Variously described as a match holder, match striker, wall pocket or vase, this item has vivid and crisp detail. It is 2-3/4" deep and is guaranteed to be antique glass. This item is in fair original condition with no chips, losses, damage or repairs other than a large internal crack below the eye and above the tusks. This crack is visible from the front and around the back and it appears to be a dividing line between the light upper glass and the deeper amber hue of the glass in the trunk. It can't be felt from the front but can be felt with a fingernail on the interior - the integrity of the piece is intact. Please note the straw mark just below the eye in the last picture (it's not a crack); this item's book value is $750 + in intact condition. A classic elegant sterling silver scalloped or Chippendale edge round serving tray by Birks. This sterling tray measures 14 inches across, it weighs 1,049 grams (approximately 33.67 troy ounces), and it comes with the original blue cloth Birks bag and box. It is stamped BIRKS STERLING 89/9 and it has the year stamp for 1972. The tray item is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs, and it has not been monogrammed nor engraved, nor used much, as possibly indicated by the rather clear view of the photographer's mid-section.... The cardboard Birks box has some scrapes, tape and writing on it. A set of 7 hoosier glass storage jars from the 1930s with the original lids. These pressed glass hoosier kitchen food storage jars have their original aluminum lids which still fits tightly. The set consists of a set of seven including five of the 4-1/4" spice jars and two of the 7-3/4" tall canister jars. All have a ribbed pattern and all have a blank area for a contents label except for one which has an embossed COFFEE. We don't know who made them and they are in very good useful condition with no cracks, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some denting on the edge of one large lid and some minor chipping and roughness to the glass support rim on two of the small jars, one of which has a couple of spots of white paint on the lid.
