Mexican sterling silver heavy link section bangle bracelet circa 1970s 1980. This modernist sculptural 13/16" wide vintage bracelet is a Castillo design and it consists of fully hinged segments with a tall push-button box clasp. It is stamped TC-117 MEXICO 925 and it weighs an substantial 115.3 grams (3.7 ounces). Nicely finished designer quality. It is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. We are not sure if TC-117 was one of the various Castillo studio marks, so unable to attribute it definitely to that firm. It certainly has the weight and stunning quality of a genuine Castillo piece. Each link freely pivots on the hinge and it measures approximately 6-3/4" in length (may be a little longer, the hinges made the tape measure go off a little). The hinges allow it to be round or oval in shape, so the interior measurement is 2" across in the round shape. The widest oval shape is 2-5/8" x 1-5/8". The hinges are just under 1/8" in width, so the measurements were taken from the hinges rather than the interior flat sections. Each link is a maximum 7/16" above the hinge. This wonderful and scarce necklace features three strands of genuine white and orange/pink angel hair coral 5.3 mm. beads and three baroque pearl and two gold bead spacers per strand. We haven't tested the gold but the coral tests as genuine and it is undyed and original in colour. The shortest strand is 28" and the hand carved floral drop measures 1-3/8 x 3/4". The workmanship is very fine and the drop's tiny linking coral beads are as small as 1.7 mm. The carat weight calculator indicates the stone is approximately 2.4 carats as measured in setting. The flash has green and blue highlights with a nice internal red fire. This vintage custom made yellow gold wedding band is a size 6-3/4 or 6.75 and set with either genuine blue sapphires or genuine blue spinels and diamonds. It features 12 fairly well-matched channel set royal blue gem stones in groups of four separated by two pairs of single point genuine diamonds. There is a slight variation of shades of blue in the stones, and they are fairly clear gems. The sapphires/spinels are princess cut or square cut, and are bezel set, so their size is 5-6 points each, estimated by gauge in setting. It weighs 3.1 gr. and the flat band design feels comfortable on and sits so could be worn with a solitaire ring. It measures 5/8" across the gem section and is 3/16" wide. It is stamped 750 (for 18 K ). The gem stones may be just a shade deeper blue than our photos, due to photo flash. It would make a unique wedding band for those who would like more than diamonds. A Forstner sterling silver double link charm bracelet with 13 charms circa 1970s. This 7-1/4" long and 3/8" wide double oval link with twist bracelet has a box clasp with a safety loop; it is stamped with the Forstner mark and STER. A 12K Egyptian rose gold genuine yellow topaz ring. This vintage size 6-1/2 or 6.5 genuine topaz solitaire has gold hallmark for Egypt. The date mark may be for 1943 -1944, but that may vary by city where assayed. The claw-set stone is a rectangular faceted or emerald cut, and is a definite yellow with very slight brown under-tone, and has an excellent clarity. The topaz measures 11.5mm x 9.1mm and has a depth of 7.3mm, so it is slightly over 5 carats in size. The ring weighs 3.2 grams. We also tested the ring, and it appears to be closer to 14K, but is being sold according to its assay mark. A 14k gold Mabe pearl and diamonds pearl enhancer pendant for a necklace. This vintage beauty has an 12mm x 6mm genuine Mabe pearl surrounded by six round genuine brilliant cut diamonds circa 1970s. Mabe pearls grow on the inside of the shell rather than the centre, so they are curved at the front but flatter at back. This necklace pendant has a pearl enhancer type loop, which means it can also be worn over a strand of pearls or some other gem stone or bead necklace also. Also lovely on a chain alone as the pendant. The pearl alone measures 12 mm. across and the six genuine modern single cut diamonds are set in white gold, with yellow gold surrounding. It weighs 3.6 grams and it has a swing-open clasp with a snap-on safety catch. Great idea for a wedding pearl necklace that can be worn over pearls or other beads. The entire pendant size is 6mm (a bit over 5/8" across - that measurement does not include the loop section, it is the measurement of the pearl section only. Including loop, it is 22mm, or approximately 7/8". The pearl is approximately 1/4" or 6mm deep, possibly just a bit more, as it is measured in setting. It is stamped 14 K.
