A pair of (typically) unmarked Majestic Japanned wood and brass table lamps c1950s. The black painted wood includes the 7 x 4-1/2" base with a crescent moon mounted on the brass upright with a brass ball separating it from the base. They stand 17-1/2" tall including the 12 x 6-1/2" shades, which are of fiberglass with plastic stringing on the borders and a wire cage for mounting on the lightbulb. They have their original cords with Leviton sockets with inspection stickers, and both lamps work. This pair of fine Retro decorative lamps is in excellent condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some minor loss to the gold-plated finish over the brass and one small touched-up chip on the tip of one crescent. The rest of the black paint is intact with only tiny flakes and one scratch with the paint mostly intact. A fine quality late 18th century copper plate etching by Francesco Londonio (1723-1783) of Milan, Italy. This Georgian period etching is from the Costumes Pastoris (Pastoral Customs or more commonly, Pastoral Scenes ) series. Image size (taken from the plate indentation lines) is 36 cm. x 27 cm. (14-1/4" x 11"). This series was produced for Consigliere Mellerio. This item is in the collection of the National Digital Library in Portugal, and a collection of Londonio's etchings resides at the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco (F.A.M.S.F.), amongst others, and there are some etchings from this specific series in the F.A.M.S.F. collection. The F.A.M.S.F. dates this series to the 18th century. It has an 8 in the lower right corner, indicating that this is plate 8 in the series. It is housed in a later 19th century black finished wood frame measuring 21-5/8" x 18-1/2", and it is in very good original condition with no cracks, tears, repairs, losses, damage or repairs other than some very fine overall speckled foxing and a central crease. A 10k yellow gold Edwardian blue topaz ring circa 1900 1910. This size 5-1/2 or 5.5 ring has a ornate engraved design and it has 4 claw-set genuine blue topazes. The setting measures 9/16 x 11/16". It is stamped 10K with the Canadian gold mark (a crown in the letter C) and the Eaton's E in a diamond retail mark. The four light blue gem stones are all claw-set. This set consists of the 5-3/4" (lip to handle) cream jug, the 8" handle to handle covered sugar bowl, the 9-1/8" high coffee pot with wood handle, and the 12" wood handle to spout teapot, together with the engraved 27-1/4" x 16" duck footed serving tray. The tea set has gadroon edges and the pieces are stamped SILVERPLATE ON COPPER SHEFFIELD REPRODUCTION with the International mark and the 1028 pattern number. The tray is stamped with OLD ENGLISH REPRODUCTION and an L BROS. maker's mark. It has a gadroon edge / similar design. A 10k yellow gold synthetic Alexandrite statement ring from the 1950s-60s. This ring features a claw-set oval faceted 12 carat (calculated) synthetic alexandrite with lush purple and intense blue colour. These simulated alexandrites are usually corundum laced with vanadium to produce the color change under different types of lighting, or a treated colourless chrysoberyl. This created gemstone has been around for almost 100 years, and the stones usually test as corundums or sapphires on a gem tester (natural genuine alexandrites of this colour are expensive and uncommon, and most of what you will see for sale is the paler or simulated version). This stone color variation is dark purple-to-blue. This ring weighs 7.0 grams, it measures 15/16 x 9/16" across the stone and it is stamped 10K with an obscured maker's mark.
