An Art Nouveau sterling silver lady with poppy brooch circa 1900. A flowing haired fin-du-siecle beauty, staring wistfully off, with a large poppy (a symbol of forgetfulness) beside her. It is a large brooch, measuring 2" x 2-1/4". It is stamped STERLING and it has the original c-clasp. Kerr and Gorham and a few other firms were well known for these sterling hollow Art Nouveau face pins. It is stamped Sterling only, but is clearly a fine quality example. A Swiss sterling silver engraved hunter case pocket watch with a chain with a Routier Quebec retailer signature. This size 13 ligne or size 0 watch has fancy tooling on its full hunter sterling silver case which has an MQ '04 monogram on one side. The front and back cases and dust cover all have Swiss 935 sterling silver marks including the bear mark and the works resemble a barred Swiss movement from around the 1900 era. The porcelain dial with a single sunk second hand dial is signed A.C. ROUTIER QUEBEC (Quebec City, the retailer). This watch comes with an unmarked but tested sterling silver 24" double strand herringbone chain with a swivel. The crown is brass and this watch appears to be overwound and is not working. Also, the crystal and hour hand are missing however the face is in excellent condition as is the case. it is being sold as is without a guarantee. A 10k yellow gold Edwardian blue topaz ring circa 1900 1910. This size 5-1/2 or 5.5 ring has a ornate engraved design and it has 4 claw-set genuine blue topazes. The setting measures 9/16 x 11/16". It is stamped 10K with the Canadian gold mark (a crown in the letter C) and the Eaton's E in a diamond retail mark. The four light blue gem stones are all claw-set. A Victorian Edwardian green tourmaline, red spinel and pearls gold plated pendant on chain necklace circa 1890-1900. This 7/8 x 3/4" (including bale) pendant features nine neatly arrayed segments of four stones each - 4 of green tourmalines, 5 of natural small pearls with vivid silver lustre and 5 red spinels in the centers of each pearl section. Sections are divided with gold strips and the two halves of this locket-style pendant are soldered together (it doesn't open). An attractive 19thC American (or Canadian) pattern or pressed glass stoppered decanter with what appears to be an double leaf motif (one over the other) not dissimilar to a maple leaf. This 9-1/2" tall (with stopper) blown-mould decanter retains its original stopper; the detail and relief are sharp and well defined, and this unusual piece, whose maker and pattern unknown to us, is in excellent original condition with no cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than some chips to the bottom of the stopper (see image). We would be happy to add the name of the pattern if any knowledgeable glass person would care to drop us an email. A 19th c. hand painted toleware large tray. This decorative, vintage and stunning handpainted and signed large toleware display or serving tray dates to around 1860. This 24-3/8 x 19-3/4" painted metal tray features a large central basket of colourful and varied flowers; it has a floreate stepped edge and the G. J. Rudolph artist's signature. We have been unable to get any information on this artist, however the painting is superb. This all-original piece has slight and attractive alligatoring, and it is in superb original condition with no scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a few small spots of gilding loss around the rim. This great example of Victorian period sentimental or mourning hair jewellery is in 15k yellow gold with a centrally set genuine 12 pt. rose cut diamond and a compartment on the back containing a curl of blonde hair with a silk cord. The brooch is unmarked but tested and is guaranteed to be gold, and the diamond has been checked with a gemologist. The hair compartment on this 1-7/8" x 1-1/8" pin has the original bevelled glass, and this pin weighs 9.2 grams. The original c-clasp is still present, and it has a small loop for a safety chain (not present).
