A fine quality Rose Canton 19th century 9" tall pitcher or ewer. This Qing Dynasty jug features flowers, butterflies and birds and a gold-circled floral medallion. The painting and enamelling are good quality and of Famille Verte colour. Larger examples of the 19thC Rose Canton pitchers are not commonly seen now. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs other than some loss to the gilt trim on the upper edge and some gilt wear on the handle.
