An Ellis Bros. gold filled fancy pocket watch with a 15J Cyma 777 four adjustment movement from the 1920s. This 1-3/4" open face man's pocket watch features a hand engraved gold plated face with a single sunk second hand dial and purple finished metal hands. Ellis Brothers was taken over by Birks in the late 1920s and this watch has an Ellis branded Swiss Cyma 777 15 jewel movement with four adjustments. The works are 34mm. across, size 4 or 15 ligne. It is stem wind and it has a 20 year gold filled Wadsworth Referee case with the number 6916315. It has the inscription "PRESENTED TO HAROLD A. DUMPHY BY THE STAFF OF ELLIS BROS. 1926" and it has a fancy AHD monogram on the back of the case. This watch is in very good condition with a bit of face soiling - the works are clean however the hands adjust in all positions of the winder but the winder doesn't engage. It is being sold as is without warranty - all timepieces should be professionally serviced and cleaned. A Gruen Veri-Thin style 474 gold plated wrist watch dated 1941. This 435 caliber high quality retro wind-up manual wristwatch has a single-sunk second hand dial, full Roman numerals and a gold plate L-CRUSADER-3 expansion band with triple segment alternating convex and concave links. The movement features 17 jewels with rubies and it has a 750468 serial number and all of the proper markings. The Star Watch Case Company base metal back has the 434-474 numbers and a 110711 serial number as well as various service etchings. This watch is very clean and it runs and it keeps time however we don't offer a warranty on watches - all timepieces should be professionally cleaned and adjusted. An Edwardian 14K white and yellow gold rod link watch chain from the 1910 1920 era. It measures 13-1/2" long, the links alternate from elongated diamond shaped in yellow gold with rectangular lined white gold links and it has a swivel and springring clasp. The links are of hollow construction and this fine chain is is stamped 14K on the jump rings and on the inside of the swivel. This watch accessory would make a nice choker necklace, it weighs 5.4 grams and it is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a few shallow and small dents on a few of the diamond shaped links. A Victorian 9k rose gold watch chain & fob with a seal end 1897. This 4" fob chain and 3/4" long seal are fully hallmarked - it is all solid gold. The 9/16" x 7/16" seal has a full set of hallmarks for Birmingham, England 1897 (probably, since the year date is slightly worn); each link is stamped 9 .375, and the swivel is stamped as well. The seal has a fancy Gothic THC monogram and this well made watch chain weighs 10.9 grams. It is in excellent condition with no losses, dents, corrosion, repairs or damage. A fine quality lady's gold filled engraved hunter case pocket watch by Regina. Trade marked by the Omega Watch Company in 1911, this example has a serial number corresponding to the period btween 1913 and 1916. The porcelain dial has black markers, a single-sunk seconds dial and blued hands. It is marked with the retailer's name A.M. GILPIN with the town name DUNNVILLE, ONT. (Canada), a small town near Hamilton. The superbly decorated hunter case is stamped 184521 SOVEREIGN GOLD FILLED with the E in a maple leaf mark for Ellis. The 28 mm. works are marked REGINA WATCH Co. SWISS 7 JEWELS 2 POSITIONS 4655766, and this watch measures 36 mm. across. This watch works fine and keeps time, however we recommend that all timepieces should be professionally cleaned and adjusted, and they are being sold as described without warranty. A rare late Victorian Page or Plato clock, fully hallmarked for London, England 1901. This mechanical marvel features celluloid leaves with handpainted numerals, the top dial for hours and the bottom for minutes. The mechanism flips each page over to tell the time, and it has a round case in sterling silver. Seen occasionally in brass and in lesser metals, silver is very rare and would have been extremely expensive in its day. It has bun feet, a handle and a cylinder of very thin glass for a window. It has retainers to keep the pages open and the winder and adjustment are on the bottom. It has the maker's mark for the Charles S Green & Co Ltd and it has had a professional case-off cleaning and adjusting, involving a complete piece-by-piece disassembly and reassembly. Other than the replacement of the original damaged celluloid page retainer with a hand-cut metal one and a crack and loss to the glass cylinder, this rare clock is in excellent working condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than those noted above. Please note that the cracked glass doesn't show from the front when the clock is displayed. A C.M. Von Valkenburg Petrolia gold filled pocket watch circa 1900. This 2" across stem-wind pocket watch has a porcelain dial with a single sunk seconds dial and blued hands. It is printed with C.M. VON VALKENBURG PETROLIA (Ontario, Canada) on the face, and the 1-5/8" across works has nice damascening. The works are marked ADJUSTED 2 POSITIONS 17 JEWELS 3876866. We haven't identified the works however the regulator resembles that of Howard or Ball watches. The case is stamped BANNER GOLD FILLED 168653 and it has numerous servicing inscriptions. It has a JES script monogram, and this watch is in very good condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some minor wear to the gold plating and a small chip to the face at 23 minutes on the dial (covered by the bezel). The mainspring will not hold tension however everything else appears to be working, clean and intact and the time can be easily set.
