A 9K rose gold amethyst seed pearls lavaliere pendant necklace 1900. This 9 K Arts & Crafts late Victorian period genuine amethysts and seed pearls lavaliere pendant necklace consists of the 1-7/8" x 3/4" (including bale) 9 K rose gold Victorian period pendant and the 16-1/4" Victorian period 9K rose gold chain with a spring-ring catch. The shield-shaped pendant has two bezel-set genuine amethysts and it is stamped 9Ct inside the bale. It is simpler is style than much of the fin-du-siecle jewellery, as this piece is showing an Arts and Crafts simplicity influencing the design. It weighs 5.5 grams. It still has remnants of the yellow gold wash applied when rose gold fell out of favour. This item is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use.
