A stunning Nippon 3 pc. hand painted tea set 1880-90. This set consists of the 6-1/4" tall teapot, the 5" high two-handled covered sugar bowl and the 4-1/2" high creamer. The painting is exquisite as you would expect of high quality Nippon, with colourful flowers and copious gold highlights with beading. The ground is a mottled agate and the whole body of the set is covered with decoration. This lovely set is in excellent condition with no crazing, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than a small chip to the inside rim of the sugar bowl (completely covered by the rim and possibly original to the manufacture of this piece). All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. Expedited tracked and insured parcel shipping to the U.S. starts at $28 (other spots may vary, air is higher). Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only.
