An Ando Japanese boxed cloisonne smoking set from the 1960s-1970s. This elegant set consists of the 9-1/2" x 4-3/4" faux alligator papered fitted box, the Japanese language "Cloisonne Making" fold-out pamphlet, the 3-5/8" covered cigarette jar, three 3-3/8" bowl-shaped ash trays, and the 17" x 9-1/2" fringed woven table mat. This set has an Organo mark on the bottom, possibly for Organo of Japan, a now world-wide Japanese company specializing in water treatment (they began in 1946, this may be an older company logo). The set is odour free and appears unused, and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than one corrosion spot on the metal on one ash dish. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. Expedited tracked and insured parcel shipping to the U.S. starts at $25 (other spots may vary, air is higher). Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only.
