An 18k birks bow brooch with diamonds from the 1950s. This retro brooch with three claw-set round brilliant cut genuine diamonds circa 1950s is well-made; it measures 2-1/8" x 1-1/4" pin is stamped 18 K and BIRKS. It has a safety catch, and it weighs 9.9 grams. The diamonds measure approximately 6 points in total - they are sparkling clear and white (VS, E-F colour). It is in excellent vintage condition with no breaks or cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs, and the claws are in excellent condition also. It had an independent gemological appraisal by a certified gemologistfor $2600 CAD. I would doubt a piece of comparable quality could be purchased at Birks even for the appraised value, even if on sale. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Tracked courier to the US starts at $115 (other spots may vary) - tracking and insurance is included in shipping quote. Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only.
