A large retro 1940s genuine amethyst cocktail ring. This size 6 ring measures 5/8" x 11/16" across the setting and the fine stone is ~6 carats (calculated) in size. This ring weighs 5.5 grams, it is stamped 10K and JEJ and the stone is a beautiful deep and vibrant purple colour. This February birthstone has had the reputation since ancient times of retaining the passion of love, and in ancient times was given as an engagement or wedding gift. This ring is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use as would be expected.
