A 14k yellow gold large natural large oval opal ring circa 1970s. This vintage size 6 ring was custom made, and the colorful genuine opal gem stone section measures 1/2" x 5/8" . The carat weight calculator indicates the stone is approximately 2.4 carats as measured in setting. The flash has green and blue highlights with a nice internal red fire. The mark was too worn to read, and the ring tests as 14 K. It weighs 3.7 grams. It is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a very faint surface scratch as seen in the pictures which appears more obvious here from the halogen-lit photographic lighting used than it does in real life. Nice statement size opal stone and a great October birthstone birthday gift idea. All condition issues are noted. All items are vintage or antique and may have signs of use and patination as would be expected. Expedited parcel post to the U.S. starts at $26 (other spots may vary).
