An Art Deco French jet and orange cut glass beaded flapper sautoir necklace with a tassel from the 1920s. No Jazz age flapper would have been complete without a necklace that moved with a tassels - people danced more at parties and weddings in that time. This one is genuine Art Deco (NOT a reproduction) and the necklace hangs 16" long not including the 5-1/8" tassel sautoir drop. The orange beads are 3/16" across with tiny black spacers and the French jet (black glass) beads include round, teardrop and oval shapes, all with facets. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs and all beads are in undamaged condition however there is some loose thread at the tassel mount and although intact it would probably be prudent to have this necklace restrung. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use.
