A cultured pearls strand necklace with a sterling clasp from the 1950s. This fine vintage 16" long strand has 65 pearls of fine lustre and creamy yellowish/white colour. They are individually knotted and they measure around 5 mm. each. They are in excellent vintage condition with no chips, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a previous tight and professional reknotting. Vintage pearls have a far thicker nacre than modern cultured pearls, and will last a lifetime or two if properly handled. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. Expedited tracked and insured parcel shipping to the U.S. starts at $21 (other spots may vary, air is higher). Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only.
