A 10K golden sapphire ring from the 1940s 1950 period. This size 4-1/2 or 4.5 yellow gold ring features a tested golden rectangle cut cut sapphire stone of approximately 3.75 carats (estimated from gauge measurement). The gem color is a golden orange or gold orange colour. It weighs 2.7 grams, and it is stamped 10K with slightly obscured maker's marks and the Canadian manufacture mark. This stylish ring measures 3/8 x 5/16" (10mm x 8mm x 4.5mm). It is in excellent condition with no break, corrosion, losses, damage or known repairs. The stone tests as a sapphire. Golden sapphires were much less expensive in this time period, and the stone is likely the original stone, but we cannot guarantee it has not been color treated. All condition issues are noted; items are vintage or antique and have signs of use. Gemstones checked on a gem tester and under magification.
