A Scottish sterling silver broad axe pebble broadaxe pin brooch from 1880-1900. This late Victorian 2-1/16 x 3/4" pin features hand engraving and shaped green and red jasper stones in the shape of a Scottish traditional broad axe. It is stamped MADE IN BRITAIN and the lack of full hallmarks was typical at the time to avoid duties on silver. It tests as sterling silver, it has the original c-clasp, it weighs 3.3 grams and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than a bit of flattening to the clasp's hoop and a small chip and scrape to the green stone. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. Expedited tracked and insured parcel shipping to the U.S. starts at $20 (other spots may vary, air is higher). Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only.
