A Victorian gold filled rope twist watch chain with a 10k opals slide circa 1890. This 27" chain has two 1/16" strands with a swivel and it includes a crescent shaped 10k yellow gold (unmarked but tested) working 5/16" long slide with four vivid blue/green and orange opals. This pocket watch accessory would make a great necklace and it is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than a couple of missing or broken wires (see images) and some soiling or residue within the twists. The slide and chain both function properly. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use.
