An Art Nouveau Kerr sterling thistle brooch circa 1900. This sterling silver pin is by Kerr (1880s-1927) and it in the form of a large stylized thistle. This 2-1/8" x 1-1/2" brooch is of hollow construction with very high relief detail; it has the axe mark for Kerr and it is stamped STERLING and 1941 model number. It weighs 12.6 grams, it has a safety catch and it is in excellent original condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a crease to the silver on the back of the right-hand leaf (not visible from the front). All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use.
