An antique sterling silver treasure chest design trinket box, fully hallmarked for London, England 1904. This English Arts and Crafts period 3-3/4" x 1-1/2" hinged box was made by Corke Bros. & Co. It has hand hammered panels with fleur-de-lis decoration and long hinges, and it resembles a treasure or pirate chest. It has a chained pin which inserts into a loop with hasp and a tooled and mounted escutcheon on the top. The interior is gilded, and this lovely small jewel or table tobacco snuff box weighs 80.4 grams. This miniature sterling chest has no tobacco odour, but is the correct size for a table snuff box, and such boxes were usually gilded inside to prevent corrosion. A Fukagawa double gourd vase 1900-20. This fine quality and likely late vintage Meiji-Taishō era 4-3/8" tall Japanese porcelain hand painted vase is by the renowned Fukagawa Porcelain Company firm of Japan c1900-20. This vase has a blue tassel and two painted small floral groups in gold, green, orange and black. There is a gold upper rim. The mark is the Mount Fuji and stream with the Fukagawa signature, identified on gotheborg.com as being is used from 1900-20. We were also informed this was purchased in the 1920s. The darkness under the base is old glue from an applies felt bottom which is no longer present (we will clean the glue residue before shipment). A superb post-Edwardian sterling silver and enamel sports award fob or pendant dated 1915. This 1-1/2 x 1-1/4" running or track award features fine cobalt enamel and a central gold washed or gilded medallion depicting a runner. It is dedicated on the back with the legend ST. M.C.I. ANNUAL SPORTS 1915 GIRLS J.C. FIRST and it is stamped STERLING with the Ryrie Bros. manufacture silver mark (later Birks). It is possibly from the St. Marys Collegiate Institute of St. Marys, Ontario and it weighs 10.7 grams. Most sport award fobs were made with male figures, so it is not unusual on an award fob prize for a girl's event at this time to show a boy rather than a girl. This trophy fob is in excellent original condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a bit of rubbing to the gold wash. A pair of Roden sterling silver handle wood salad servers. These ornate 10-1/4" serving implements feature wooden spoon and fork inserts with sterling silver handles marked with the Roden mark along with REG'D 1901 STERLING. Birks took them over later but the 1901 registry mark indicates an Edwardian date for the manufacture of these servers. A 14k yellow gold enamel seed pearls crescent moon honeymoon pin brooch circa 1910-20. This attractive 15/16 x 3/4" pin features turquoise or robin's egg blue enamel and seed pearls. This attractive pin weighs 1.7 grams, it has the 1K0 maker's mark for Kohn & Co. of Newark, NJ on the c-clasp and it tests as 14k gold. A 10k Edwardian black sardonyx cameo portrait ring from 1910-20. This size 6-1/4 ring has a wonderful ornate decorated stepped shoulder design and it features a hand carved white on black sardonyx stone cameo of a lady. The setting measures 7/8 x 1/2" across the cameo, it weighs 2.8 grams and it is stamped 10K with a BJ maker's mark along with the crown in a C indicating a Canadian casting. This table decoration has a JPS fancy script monogram and it is stamped STERLING with the (partially obscured) Roden 925 maker's mark. An Edwardian T. Rathbone DANE 1867L water pitcher from the 1910 era. This beautiful, decorative English ironstone ewer or pitcher stands 9" tall and it has the T.R. & Co. swan mark used by T. Rathbone in the Edwardian era. The decoration is quite Edwardian with flow blue accents, red and yellow highlights and poppy flowers. A scarce sterling silver filigree posey holder pin circa 1900 1910. This antique 2-1/4" long and 1" across (unmarked but tested) fantastic posy or corsage brooch is an example of ornate and very fine silver work. The ball and wire end makes me think it may be an older Indonesian / Yogya piece. It was assembled from three separate sections of filigree silver. It may be older than our estimate. This possible bridal item either started out as a flower bouquet holder and had the pin added or was always a posy-pin. It has a c-clasp. It can readily be converted to (or back to) a small bouquet holder. It weighs 12.6 grams, and it is in excellent condition for its age and fineness, with no corrosion or repairs other than what appears to be a small section of missing wire and the c-clasp has been repaired. An exceptional and elegant antique Edwardian gold filled 1" diameter photo locket with lovely engine turned purple and white enamel plus seed pearls. It has a ring of leaves on white enamel surrounding the center and the back is undecorated and it has never been monogrammed. It retains the photo retaining bezels in the interior along with the celluloid windows (one side has a later cobalt blue painted background) and it has the F & B initials for Foster and Bailey of Providence, RI.
