A Rowland & Marsellus Winnipeg Manitoba flow blue souvenir plate from the 1900 era. This 10-1/8" late Victorian English ceramic rolled edge display plate features views of Winnipeg Manitoba including the Canadian buffalo, Wesley College, Seven Oaks Monument, Fort Garry, Holy Trinity Church, Deaf and Dumb Institute and City Hall and Volunteers Monument. it is stamped with the blue Rowland & Marsellus mark and it states this plate was made for the Imperial Dry Goods Co. An antique 14k opals and diamonds and synthetic ruby ring circa 1900. This classic late Victorian period yellow gold ring is set with two natural round cabochon opals with four antique cut genuine diamonds on each side of a central lab created ruby. This size 7 ring has natural opals with fine green and blue fire and a fiery orange internal color. The genuine diamonds are approximately 2 - 2.5 points each and the central synthetic ruby is 4 mm. across. These rings were often engagement or wedding rings for those who could afford them, diamond-only engagement rings didn't become popular until the 20th century. Synthetic rubies of this period were what we refer to as lab created gems now, they are treated genuine lesser price actual gem stones. The lab treatment gives them the appearance of genuine high price gem stones. White sapphires were and occasionally still are a stone of choice, they wear well also, as sapphires are a 9 on the Mohs stone hardness scale. Cut glass or rhinestone copies of stones are not the same. It measures 5/8" x 3/16" across the setting, the ring is unmarked due to a probable re-hooping in the past. It tests as 14k gold,) and it weighs 3.1 grams. A Scottish agates sterling silver banded agate sword pin circa 1911. This handsome dirk pin features finely banded agate cased in a hand-engraved "sheath"; the hilt of the knife features a cabochon agate stone. It is fully hallmarked for Birmingham, England 1911-12, and it has the maker's or retailers mark for Adie & Lovekin. Many of these pins were made in Scotland and hallmarked in Birmingham, although some were made there as well. A Royal Dux Woman on Waterfall 440 porcelain figure from the 1912 era with superb detail. This beautifully modeled 15-3/4" Bohemian porcelain figurine depicts a nude woman perched on rocks over a waterfall. This figure has a matte grey glaze with gold highlights. It is replete with much bocage including branches; her face is attractive and finely painted. It has the orange Royal Dux applied triangle mark with an impressed 440 pattern number along with a painted 35 and it dates to the 1910 era. The drop pendant is 2-3/4" across and 2" long. The peridot and seed pearls are genuine gem stones. The two chains, one with a spring-ring catch, measure 6" each, and this necklace weighs 4.3 grams. A scarce sterling silver filigree posey holder pin circa 1900 1910. This antique 2-1/4" long and 1" across (unmarked but tested) fantastic posy or corsage brooch is an example of ornate and very fine silver work. The ball and wire end makes me think it may be an older Indonesian / Yogya piece. It was assembled from three separate sections of filigree silver. It may be older than our estimate. This possible bridal item either started out as a flower bouquet holder and had the pin added or was always a posy-pin. It has a c-clasp. It can readily be converted to (or back to) a small bouquet holder. It weighs 12.6 grams, and it is in excellent condition for its age and fineness, with no corrosion or repairs other than what appears to be a small section of missing wire and the c-clasp has been repaired. An English silver plated swing handle bread or fruit basket with a cutout pierced gallery. This attractive, high quality table accessory measures 10-1/2 x 8-1/8" across and the handle rises to 8-1/2" high. It has a pierced or openwork gallery and what appears to be shamrock cutouts. It is stamped with CJA EPNS MADE IN ENGLAND and the maker is Charles James Allen (1898~1912).
