A superb and top quality example of Austro-Hungarian glassmaking at its finest. This is a set of six shell shaped cranberry glass nut dishes c1900 with crisp molding and lush encrusted gold decoration. Attributed to Moser, this set is certainly of the expected quality but we can't definitively confirm this. The set consists of the deep 9-1/2" long and 7-1/8" wide master nut bowl as well as five matching 4-1/2" long and 3-3/8" wide individual nut bowls. The allover hand applied gold decoration is superb and it appears on the outer surfaces as well as on the interior. We have seen only a couple of examples of the smaller dishes only, never the full size master nut dish, and seldom in cranberry and rarely with such ornate decoration. A true prize for any serious collection of Moser or European art glass. This unsigned set appears unused, even after 110 years, and it is in stellar original condition with no cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than a 1/16" across flake to the edge of one of the individual dish's edges and the expected minor irregularities expected on hand-painted and hand-finished art glass. A 10k white & yellow gold heart photo locket and chain. This unusual 3/4" wide heart shaped photo locket pendant comes complete with a 14k fine link chain. The locket is unusual in that it is white gold on one side and yellow gold on the other. Each side is divided with both glossy and matte finish areas and engraved stars. It opens to reveal a place for photos and it has one retaining bezel. The 19-1/4" fine rope style white gold chain has a springring clasp and it is stamped STOR 14K while the locket pendant is stamped PPC 10K inside the bale. The chain has an added 2-1/2" extender with two loops and it weighs 1.0 grams; the locket weighs 2.8 grams. A TJ&J Mayer superb glazed moulded stoneware jug from the 18303s - 1850s. This wonderfully detailed and high quality glazed English high relief stoneware pitcher is 9-1/2" in height. It has a chocolate brown stippled ground on which is laid very thick allegorical scenes with palm trees in greyish coloured clay. It is known as the Paul and Virginia design. The hand-carved detail is stunning and even the handle is decorated with fronds and a stalk. The lip has two holes for the fitting of a pewter lid which was an option with these jugs - this example was never fitted. It has the stamped T.J.&J. MAYERS PATENT mark with DALE HALL POTTERY LONGPORT under the Royal Arms mark which was in use from c1843-55. It also has a No 102 18 pattern mark and the registry number for 1850. This item is in superb original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than some faint crazing on the glazed interior only. A Lanternier Limoges hand painted floral vase from around 1900. This subtle and beautiful Limoges French porcelain hand painted vase c1890-1900 vase stands 9-1/4" high and it has a finely painted floral arrangement in subtle pastel shades with gold highlights - the leafy sprigs with purple flowers have subtle green lines and the complex yellow and richly gilded large flowers and leaves have great detail and piped and jewelled thick gold outlines. There are also sprays of gold on the cloudlike satin finish of this decorative piece. It was made by the Lanternier & Co firm, and it is a factory painted piece. A late 18thC Qing Dynasty Canton enamel bowl. This high quality bowl has original gilding and it dates to circa 1770 - 1800. This lobed quatrefoil shaped bowl measures 7-3/4" x 6-1/4" and it is 3-1/8" in height. The enamelling is particularly fine, done to the Chinese taste. The rim of the bowl retains much of its original gilding. The interior is a pale blue enamel, the bottom is speckled white. The upper rim has a Greek key design border. While it doesn't appear to have been much used other than decoratively, this bowl was likely made to be a jardiniere, and may have been used as that previously. It is in excellent condition for its age, with no corrosion, apparent losses, damage or repairs other than a slight touch of wear to the gilding on the edges and some minor discolouration spots to the interior enamel. A scarce form, and we've only seen a few of these lockets. This is an Edwardian sterling silver 1-1/2 x 1-1/8" photo locket pendant with hinged photo "pages" which hold two photographs each. It is stamped STERLING, it has an engine turned design on the interior and it has fine hand engraving on the front. The shield has never been monogrammed and the plain back is unadorned. A beautiful Art Deco period 18k white gold filigree and genuine diamonds lady's ring circa 1920. This lacy basketweave size 5-3/4 or 575 ring has three diamonds, including a 20 point antique brilliant cut diamond and two ~5 point brilliant cut diamonds (all VS clarity, G-H colour). This more ornate design of ring was a hold-over from the Edwardian era. A sterling silver modern design Consul (Switzerland) ladies wrist watch circa 1970. The brushed face has a gradient colour, from chocolate to golden amber. The hands are silver, and the body of the watch is an abstract modernist plain solid cuff style. The back of the cuff has a clever and unusual gate type of closure to allow it to be easily taken on and off, unlike a cuff bracelet. The clasp works well and there is a safety chain and this watch weighs 48.0 grams. The face is marked Consul and Swiss Made, and it is a 17 jewel manual wind works. The back has an RW mark, as well as 925 sterling mark, a German crescent moon and crown, a floral oval hallmark and the (model?) numbers 5391 and 22. It measures 1 11/16" at the widest but tapers to a width of 5/8" at the narrowest, and the widest interior measurement is 2 3/8" across. It is currently working and keeping time and it appears to be in good working order, but we cannot offer a guarantee as we have no idea when it was last cleaned.
