A 19th century Tunbridge Ware inlaid roses box. This 6 x 2" Tunbridge ware box has a central panel of inlaid small squares of wood arranged in a roses pattern. This box is composed of various woods and it is well-constructed. It is unsigned and it has a (replaced) velvet liner. This fine piece of craftsmanship is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than the loss of one tiny wood square and some minor separation at some seams and a lightened area on one end of the bottom (see images). A Kristina 18k white gold blue topaz and diamond ring. This size 6-1/2 ring features a large quilted rectangular cushion cut bezel-set blue topaz along with a bezel-set round brilliant cut diamond. The intense blue facetted topaz measures approximately 7.6 carats (by gauge calculation) and the diamond is approximately 7 points (by gauge calculation). The ring measures 3/4" x 5/8" and it weighs a solid 12.5 grams. A 14k Knight Templar York Rite jewel fob with garnets circa 1920s. It has (tested) garnets, white and black enamel, inlaid onyx and white gold as well. Aubrey Beardsley The Yellow Book with 3 volumes available (priced each). This is a group of three of the famous English illustrated quarterly called The Yellow Book. This late 19th century series featured art, essays, discussions, poetry and criticism. They were 8-1/4 x 7" hardbacks in yellow and featured artistic cover illustrations as well as inserted plates, including illustrations by Aubrey Beardsley and others. Offered here is Volume 1 April 1894 Second Edition, with four Beardsley illustrations as well as the cover, 272 pages (excluding end advertisements and lists). Ballantyne Press, darkened spine, light soiling on covers, rounded corners, bruising and fraying to upper and lower spine, foxing/inscription inner covers. The second is Volume III October 1894, one Beardsley plus cover, condition as above except folded top and bottom of spine, minimal soiling, no spine darkening, no inscriptions but inside covers foxing. An evocative and well-painted framed 22-1/4" x 14-1/2" (sight size) English oil on canvas by Charles Cattermole (R.I., R.B.A., R.O.I. 1832–1900). Entitled "The Patrol's Return" on a mounted plaque on the 31-1/2" x 24" wood and plaster frame, this painting is signed CHAS CATTERMOLE on the lower right. The back has a Toronto gallery label from 1949 and the canvas is numbered 908 on the back. The image is clean with full colours and a glossy surface (and was most likely cleaned and revarnished in the not too distant past), and it is in excellent condition with no losses or damage to the canvas however there is moderate but noticeable plaster loss to the frame. A decorated 19thC copper lustre child's cann or mug. This vintage mid-19th century 2-1/2" high decorated copper luster mug features a relief beaded rim, lovely metallic copper luster, a blue band with leaf decoration and a white interior with a pink lustre interior rim. It is unmarked and it has a pink lustre brush wipe on the interior, and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than an overglazed flat spot on the bottom rim and some craze lines on the interior bottom only. the luster is a consistent deep rich copper colour from top to bottom, unlike in our photos which show reflection from the towel.
