An attractive vintage sterling silver 2" brooch or pin from Mexico with a large engraved flower on a turquoise and resin ground c1960s. The engraved edge and flower are well done, and the ground has inlaid turquoise half-circles against a deep blue resin base. This pin has a loop to allow it to be worn as a pendant, it has a safety catch, and it weighs a substantial 18.8 grams. It is stamped 925 MEXICO PLATA with EGB and it has a 4 eagle mark. A Norway sterling silver and blue enamel brooch circa 1960s by Einar Modahl of Oslo. This attractive vintage modern 2-1/8" x 1-5/8" pin is a lovely royal hue. This Norwegian abstract double leaf is marked 925 S with the Einar Modahl maker's mark and an N in a square and STERLING NORWAY. The light colour or mauvish spots are artifacts of the photography and light reflections, the enamel is smooth and even with no damage. It has a modified catch which is now a c-clasp (no locking wheel), and it weighs 11.2 grams. A jeweler could add a locking wheel back to clasp. A retro Halbe rhinestone floral spray brooch with gold plating circa 1960. Halbe was an American firm, located at 411-5th Ave. New York circa 1950-1963 (thank you to Illusion Jewels for the information and a great research site). This 2-3/8" x 1-1/8" elegant brooch has baguette and round rhinestones; the pin is rhodium plated on back but the centers of the flowers, stems and bottom of spray are gold plated on the front. This antique silver charm bracelet has oblong links and the Dutch silver sword mark on the loop. A pair of 1950s German wood, iron & silver plated candlesticks. This cool, retro Modern pair of German teak, silverplate and bent iron candlesticks consists of a three-light and a two-light unit; each has a teak base, a silverplated mounting plate and candle cups and bobeches. The candleholders are mounted on a silverplate-trimmed painted black iron support. They are stickered "Echt Teakholz" and "Made in Germany", they measure 7/8" long and the triple light stands 5-1/8" high. An early 1960s pair of Lefton Miss Dainty salt and pepper shakers in the form of yellow-haired girls in white and red checkered hats. They are sometimes referred to as cutie pie shakers. 14K Man's Diamond Solitaire White Gold Ring 1960s Size 6-1/2 or 6.5 A 14k man's diamond solitaire white gold ring circa 1960s. This vintage custom modern design ring weighs a substantial 6.1 grams. It is size 6-1/2 or 6.5. It is unmarked (14k gold guaranteed, has been tested), and has a claw set 23 point genuine brilliant cut diamond (measured by gauge). The colour is a top quality excellent F colour, and the stone is I-1 clarity, as there is a tiny chip located on the underside of the diamond near one claw. The elegant custom made design of the ring has a graceful flow on the textured sides. A Rogers Intl Remembrance silver plated large water pitcher. This "Go-With" silver plated serving piece is from the International 1847 Rogers Remembrance flatware pattern. A Georg Jensen sterling silver double tulip pin and earrings set in a red Georg Jensen New York box. The brooch measures 1-3/4 x 1-3/8" and has a safety catch and it matches the 7/8" x 5/8" clip-on earrings. A Fumio Tamura 1969 Nokemono framed litho print 2/7. This evocative semi-erotic colour lithograph print entitled "Nokemono" (translated from Japanese - outcast) was produced in 1969 by Fumio Tamura (Japan, 1941-). Fumio Tamura was born in the Nagano prefecture, and he graduated from Tokyo Art College in 1968, so this 1969 litho dates from early in his career. It is in a metal frame, and it measures 24-1/2" x 21", with an image size of 18" x 14-1/2". It is a very small edition issue, inscribed in pencil 2/7, with the title in Japanese and in English NOKEMONO and it has the artist's signature F. Tamura '69. It retains the original Toronto gallery sticker on the back, and this print is is in excellent condition with no foxing, tears, staining, fading, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. A 10K white gold synthetic Alexandrite ring circa 1960. This vintage size 5 ring measures 3/8" x 3/8" across the claws, which hold a faceted synthetic Alexandrite stone which changes colour from purple to more of a gray-blue depending on the ambient lighting. These simulated alexandrites are usually corundum laced with vanadium to produce the color change under different types of lighting, or a treated colourless chrysoberyl. This created gemstone has been around for almost 100 years, and the stones usually test as corundums on a gem tester (natural genuine alexandrites are expensive and uncommon, most of what you will see for sale is the simulated version). This ring weighs 2.6 grams, it is marked 10K with a circled A maker's mark, and the stone measures approximately 8mm x 8mm x 5mm, or approximately 2.3 carats. The Kidds Southern Ontario garage band photo circa 1965. This professionally photographed and framed portrait of the mid-1960s garage/psych band The Kidds, who recorded one 45 rpm single record ("Children in Love") for Nestor Records, was purchased at a local auction in St. Catharines, Ontario (near Niagara Falls), the hometown of the band and many others of the era. The 14-1/2 x 11-1/2" photo is matted in a 20-3/4 x 16-3/4" black painted wood frame and it is initialed on the lower right by the photographer. It is high quality and genuine, and most likely unpublished. There is a documentary on Niagara area bands which features the Kidds, and using that and the invaluable help of the kind people at the Garage Hangover internet site we have a positive identification of the band. Interestingly this photo is NOT shown in the documentary although lots of other items are featured (search for Miil for The Big Story of Small Potatoes documentary). A huge Continental blue aurora borealis rhinestone brooch and matchingclip on earrings circa 1950s. The 3" across brooch and 1-1/8" x 1/2" earrings are unmarked but are undoubtedly by Continental.
