A pair of Helen Kalvak Inuit screened burlap hunting scene pictures. Kalvak (1901-1984) was from Ulukhaktok, Northwest Territories, Canada and she was inducted into the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts. This was followed in 1978 by her appointment to the Order of Canada. These screened burlap pictures are framed and they measure 18-1/4 x 15-1/4" and they have a sight size of 13-1/2 x 10-1/4". The wood frames have an antiqued finish and one shows a bow and arrow hunter killing a goose (in natural burlap brown) and the other depicts fishing (in green burlap). They are in excellent condition with no fading, rips, tears, staining, damage or repairs however the backing cardboard on the fishing screen print shows some water discolouration. A 9k yellow gold genuine emerald solitaire ring dated 1960. This size 6-1/2 ring features a high claw setting with leftward sweeping claws holding a shallow cut 5.0 mm. (3/16") across stone. The stone is heavily occluded with a couple of tight natural surface fissures or scrapes and it is roughly finished with a couple of flat spots to the edge of the girdle. It weighs 1.6 grams, it has a full set of hallmarks for London, England with the 375 gold mark and the date letter for 1960. A retro 10k yellow gold ring with a faceted black Alaskan diamond gem stone circa 1960s with a centrally set genuine diamond in a white gold setting. A 10K white gold black Alaskan diamond ring circa 1960 1970. This vintage statement ring is just under 6-3/4 or 6.75 in size and measures just under 1" in length on the finger, with a marquise cut black Alaskan diamond stone (related to silver pyrite, black Alaskan diamond is a trade name for the stone). These rings were popular from the 1950s into the 1970s. It is marked 10 K with a manufacturer's mark. It weighs 4.4 grams. It is in mostly excellent condition, except that the ring has a very slight tilt from finger shape and there is a small wiggle to the stone. This is readily fixable at any jewelers, and we have made allowance in the price for you to have this attended to. The stone has a few minute surface lines, which appear greatly enhanced in our photos, but not noticeable in real life. We seldom see this style of ring in white gold. Goebel Hummel Virgin Mary Praying Madonna 46/0 orange-peach robed figurine from the 1960s. This pastel coloured 10-3/8" tall figure has a gloss and matte finish and pastel yellow, orange, blue and brown colours. It is incised M.J. Hummel on the base plinth and it has the blue "stylized bee" mark in use from 1960-72. This decorative and devotional figure is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs however it has a few craze lines on the plinth and on the yellow mount on the base.
